Block twitch ads with a vpn on the AWS network

Block twitch ads with an adblocker

Twitch is fighting adblockers left and right. And adblockers are fighting against twitch anti-adblocking. This is a constant battle that never ends. A lot of  people are complaining that adblockers no longer really work. So what is the alternative.

Block twitch ads with an VPN

You could consider a VPN provider like Express VPN or NordVPN. And then select a country where twitch does not show ads. A list of countries that twitch does not show ads is taken from this post. According to the poster Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Mexico, Costa Rica, etc are not showing ads while using a VPN with an IP-address from that country.

Block twitch ads with an VPN hosted on AWS

After doing some research i noticed if you are running your own VPN server on the AWS infrastructure twitch does NOT show any ads on twitch. Its kinda funny, the trick here is that your are pretending to be in the AWS network with an IP-address provided by Amazon AWS.

Since twitch is owned by Amazon their own infrastructure is back firing and not showing ads to IP-addresses which are owned by Amazon itself.
